June 2026 Preview

June Summary

June opens strong and stays productive throughout the month, with Striper Scores consistently in the 60–70 range during the first week as widespread schools settle in. Early June features low / incoming tides paired with waning gibbous moon phases, producing steady but timing-dependent morning bites. Fish are well distributed, and success favors anglers who align closely with the most active parts of the tide rather than relying on any single location.

By June 9–12, conditions noticeably peak. Scores climb into the 70–80 range, driven by a combination of high / outgoing tides, stable sunrise times around 5:07 AM, and continued widespread migration. These mornings offer longer feeding windows, stronger current, and more aggressive fish behavior, especially around structure and channel edges.

The mid-month period (June 15–18) marks the most significant push of the month. Centered around the new moon, Striper Scores spike as high as 90 on June 15, reflecting heightened tidal movement and intensified feeding activity. Larger, more established schools dominate the harbor, and productive bites occur across multiple tide stages rather than being confined to a narrow window.

Late June remains exceptionally consistent. From June 22–25, scores again reach the upper-80s to 90 range, fueled by high / outgoing tides and favorable waxing gibbous moon phases. Fish are fully entrenched, biomass is strong, and anglers benefit from repeatable morning action with less dependence on precise timing.

June closes out steady and reliable, with Striper Scores holding near 80 through the final week. While extreme peaks subside slightly, conditions remain highly favorable, signaling a mature and stable fishery. With widespread fish, predictable sunrise timing, and multiple productive tides each morning, June offers some of the most dependable and versatile striper fishing of the season in Greater Boston.
